Working on the weekend!!! My favorite past-time. (sarcasm)
Slower than slow.
I read a book today at work.
Double Star by Robert Heinlein. Tim and I have been reading Heinlein and we both really like his books so far. I have only read the one mentioned and Have Spacesuit-Will Travel. Both good. Next stop, Stranger In A Strange Land.
That's one good thing about working on the weekends. You get to read a good book without too many distractions. Except for the beep-beep, take a phone call thing.
Double Star reminded me of the movie Dave. I wonder if that's where they got the idea.
This coming week we are going to Chicago! I have never had a paid vacation before. Nice.
It will be great to see some of our old friends...but, alas, no SUSHI. Now-I realize I cannot drink, and will probably get sleepy early-all ok. I have decided to make a list of place in Chicago that I MUST visit. And what do most pregnant women love to do? EAT! So I have made a list of several restaurants/diners that I miss since we moved to Idaho. And it goes:
Duck Walk - a little hole in the wall Thai restaurant. Pad Thai!
Las Pinatas - a tiny mexican place with pinatas hanging from every free space on the ceiling. (rehersal dinner anyone?)
BW3's - It's a chain but they have 4000 different wing flavors
Underdog - this little place down underground that has the best Chicago-style hotdogs. No ketchup aloud!
Brett's Kitchen - a little diner type place that makes really good sandwiches
Redmonds - Great location under the EL train. Good bar food
Grand Lux Cafe - Sure it's my old job but they had some killer food..and when you know some of the kitchen you can have them get deliciously creative.
Jade East - a little Chinese restaurant. The same lady would serve us every time.
and...that's what I came up with! I am hungry now just thinking of it. Where to first? That I don't know yet.

Our backyard; Hiking and other things
We planted a tree in memory of Lyla this summer. I thought I would take a picture each season. Here it is in the fall. Spring will be the best. Big pink flowers.
Buckley loves to go on hikes. Who would have guessed? Tubbs hill - I think it's called. It is a beautiful hike.

The many different twists and turns.
One of my favorite pictures of Bucklet these days. The "day dreamer". He enjoys sitting on the couch and looking out the front window..even AFTER he comes in from being outside.
So we went to the vet today and the vet told us that Buckley will probably grow to be 85lbs. Uhhhh..what?? and he was the runt of the litter!
Another part of the hike. I have never seen this bridge before. There are many different trails on Tubbs hill and I had never been on this one before.
11 weeks and what an amazing/nervous day it was. It was AWESOME to see. We are overjoyed that everything seems to be okay. And it may be a little girl. I'm not going to start painting just yet.. :)

idaHOME: All that goes with it
Welcome to the Nagle's new home. 1701. We are very excited and overwhelmed. We walked around the yard the other day while we were waiting for the keys and couldn't believe it was OUR yard outside OUR house. WHAT?!
Once we had the keys we walked around the inside and talked about all the different projects we had in mind... woh. One project at a time.
Project 1 - paint the kitchen and our bedroom
Project 2 - move in all the way (after the paint dries)
Project 3 - didn't I say one project at a time??
Flowers outside my in-laws house. I planted some tulips in the old bucket for next spring.
This is Buckley, our new puppy. He's very smart and just over 7 weeks old.
We've actually taught Buckley to SIT. He forgets sometimes. But as you can see, he was very focused this morning.
Tim bought him a stuffed bird that he loves to run around with. It's almost as big as him...but I am sure that will change VERY SOON.

Count down begins!
Today is the 15th -
Close on the 31st for our little house!
Get the keys on Sept 2nd.
Begin painting (what colors, I don't know)
Pull up some carpet in the basement.
Plant some hostas and tulips (dad, I'll need you for that one)
Maybe get some furniture -hah! we have no furniture
oh and MOVE IN!
and
in time
get a puppy (lab? we think so)
We are so so excited! Our first house.
And tonight - a visit to Pizza Shmizza (yes - that is the name of
a pizza place - but it's really good!)
After pizza - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix!

I miss her today.
I started work on Monday. Finally.
I decided to put up a picture of the three of us.
It makes me smile when I glance over at it.
But it makes me miss her too.
She was so precious.
I like this picture of Tim and I because it reminds me of the JOY we had through the midst of the storm.
We really enjoyed taking the maternity pictures.
It was like we were acknowledging and celebrating this little life...even if we knew the outcome.
She made us laugh so many times with her kicks and karate chops.

Well....it's sort of like that.

It is the most unexplainable sensation
being kicked from the inside.

Music for the Soul
I took this pic of Timmy right outside in our front yard.
It is a beautiful and inspiring view.
He has written/recorded some new songs and I think they are beauitful. Yes, he IS my HUSBAND..but
I still think the music is good. He has worked very hard and so I thought I would share it with

Also, these two young kids :) standing with Tim and I are some pretty sweet people. Tim's grandparents.
His grandma just turned 86 and gramps is 92. They have been married for 66 years and they are absolutely
hilarious. They still drive (actually visiting us from Oregon in this picture).
He tells great jokes, like my dad. And tells amazing and usually funny stories about the "life and times of Hokie
Moore" (thats his name, by the way). They have e-mail, a cell phone and a digital camera! Which just makes
me chuckle.. WOW. They love life and love eachother. Neither walks with a cane or a walker or things
like that. And I am pretty sure gramps just takes Advil every once in a while.
I love these two.
They are inspirational as well.

Happy NeW Year. I'd like the FLU please.
The FLU??
Why not....It's a new year, anyways. I was getting bored already. So I decided to get the flu and miss work today. Yessss... 2007, look out!
I know...I can't believe it has taken me this long to write on here. We used to be good friends, the blog and I. And I have been so distant it seems. But when you live in Idaho with no DSL and only dial-up as your friend...It gets a little annoying.
And no...I still don't have DSL. I'm actually sitting at my work (with the FLU!), waiting for a meeting that I have to go to. After that, it's home to bed. Maybe a PJ performance of Guitar Hero II....I'm not sure.
Christmas was very exciting. Jason and Alicia came to visit. I'm sure Idaho was shocking.. :) But all in all, we ahd a good time. It was nice to hang out with the four of us. Because it's never really like that too often. It rained ALMOST the whole time...and is raining now. BUT at least we were all healthy (just headaches to get us thru the day). I wish we lived a little closer so we could hang out on a more regular basis. Get some sushi someday... So we wouldn't have to VISIT to see eachother. Just make a phone-call and say, "What are you guys doing? Wanna grab some dinner or something?" That would be perfect. Maybe someday. CA on the list of places to live. It's all about affording it though.
New Years Eve was fun. We went to a friends house that is up in a part of the mountains we have never been to! It was very beautiful. Tim and I were probably the youngest ones there..or at least, I was, for sure. OH wait!! The hosts kids were there too! Two boys named Trent and Ty. 14 years old and 11 I think. I guess they adore Timmy. Their parents told me they were wondering when Tim was going to get there, before we had arrived. We played pool with them and a dice game and danced to music...AND ate too much food. Or...IIII ate too much food. It was all SO good! They are great kids...and I really liked watching how much the parents interact with their boys. They play lots of games with them and I really like that. What a fun home the must have. We decided we are definately going to get together again and play more games.
We watched the ball drop via Mr. Dick Clark. And went home to bed.
I woke up at around eight and thought I was going to die. I was sleeping on my left side and thought maybe I had popped a rib out of place. It hurt something awful. I laid on the bathroom floor squirming around like a baby, moaning like an animal of some sort and sitting up to get sick. Finally it went away! We talked to a doctor and she thought it was some sort of gas pocket or bubble that sometimes gets trapped inside you and causes some ouch-ness (my word, not hers). But then it happen again last night. I decided to lay on my left side and see if the pain would go away and it did. SO I am just thinking that now I can no longer sleep on my right side. My mother-in-law seems to think that the baby is attached to the right side of my uterus which is why it hurts when I smoosh everything down on that side. WHO knows. All I know is, it's all crazy.
By the way, did I mention I'm pregnant? Ahhh.. and let me tell you, there is nothing like having the flu, side-aching, possible bladder infection (pretty much under control...drowning myself in water and cranberry juice), throwing up, and being pregnant all at the same time. AWESOME. It's hard enough getting sleep already.
However, I AM excitedly waiting for the day when I can start to feel things move. Should be coming up any day now. They say it is almost like having butterflies in your stomach. Not that I will feel anything kicking...but I will feel something! Oh how crazy and amazing all at the same time. I told dad that I feel like an alien or something. He said "No, the BABY is the alien, and you are the host." Way to keep it in perspective, dad :)
January 25th is the day of discovery. We will hopefully be able to find out the sex of the little one..and see it for the first time. I wish you could all be there with me because even just hearing the heartbeat was probably one of the most amazing and far-out things I have ever heard. I am going to predict that we are having a boy. And I may be wrong. But I've got a 50/50 chance, right? That's just what I'm feeling. Tim and I walked through TARGETs baby section yesterday, looking at all the things we will need and things we didn't even know we would need. Looking at some items with a tilted head thinking, "what is that for?" We also browsed through the baby clothes. Which we have never done together. Tim said "I can't believe we are in this section right now." (Maybe because we are always in the electronic section..OR...maybe because we are about to have a baby.. wasn't sure :) ). We did find a cute shirt the had a babyish picture of the Beatles on it. I think we both got excited about that one.
In any case...The day is slowly approaching when I will be a....mom.

Tim and I looked at eachother on New Years, right at midnight and I said, "Well...this year we are going to be parents." He looked at me and our eyes both got big...and then we both smiled. "Yup. We sure are."

alright...baby wants something to eat before the meeting. Gonna run over to my local cafateria and see what goodies I can find. Maybe a white choc. chip cookie. I think I am craving chips...or salt...or something.
