::i can't feel my fingers

IT's really cold out. I mean REALLY cold. I have gloves and they don't really work. I started the humidifier just to heat up the apartment....i'm FREEZING!! AND..I have a headache the size of...well..approx. the size of my head. so let's recap...my hands are cold, my head is hurting....ooh..and my car is dead. Again. IT's like we went full circle from my first blog! Not to write a whole saga about my stank-tank of a vehicle...but the battery is dead, yet again. At least this time it's not illegally parked.
Tim's brother Tony, wife, and daughter stayed the night at our house last night. Their daughter Ally (who is four) is pretty silly. She came up to Tim and I and said "Hey...he's a bear, and you are in prison and you're trying to eat him." or "Come swim in the ocean (pointing to our floor) but be careful of sharks. Some tickle." OR - she made her dad lay on the floor and said "Dad, you are stuck to that pillow, ok?" and then looked at her mom and yelled, "Mom! Quick! Dad is in the ocean and he is stuck on the pillow." She has quite an interesting imagination. They left this morning for San Diego where we are going on Friday...yahooo!!! (Did I mention it's cold here??). I'll be hanging out with the Nagle/Bath family. Gonna be an interesting time...fun I'm sure...but also filled with lots of Nagle-y/Bath-ish type surprises. I just gotta remember to bring my camera. Somewhat different family than the one I'm used to. Most of them are pretty conservative, super religious and much older. And then the other third of them are the exact opposite of that. Interesting combo. Sea World on Saturday... :)

*sigh* my fingers are still freezing

I just got some more NetFlicks in the mail...Arrested Development: Season 2! Rejoice! OR..just get super excited.

Speaking of mail:
Just got a video game from Jason and Alicia. Tim and I (being the avid game players that we are) knew it was a game before we even opened it..well, and I guess the fact that it's an easy shape to figure out helped too...and well.. the fact that my bro makes video games for a living also gave us a hint..BUT WE KNEW....and we were super excited (as we always get when getting a new game..(yes, we are dorks)) X-Men 2. Haven't had much time to try it out yet...but soooooon.
ALSO
My sis Carrie sent us two bookmarks that she made. They are very CUTE. And very crafty. The good thing is, Tim and I picked out which one we liked best..and then realized that they had already been assigned. But we chose right!
...............
I have yet to go to the UPS store to pick up some dang dang digity DANG spices because my bleeping car doesn't want to GO. And it's too far away to walk cuz it's WAY on the south side and I work until 6, which is when they close. UPS is holding the package until Friday and then it gets returned. Hopefully I can get a jump or a friendly ride by then. Who knows.

On and ending note...I wish I was this small...if I was, this is exactly what I would do. Why? Because it looks warm. I guess I'll just sit by the humidifier.

a few of my favorite things

Arrested Development. My new favorite TV show. I know-I know, I'm getting excited over a television show. But it's hilarious and it makes me laugh outloud...even when I'm by myself.

My favorite magician. Who's name is Gob. Pronounced like the book of the Bible, Job. You should hear the cheesy music he plays while doing his act. It's fantastic.

Here are two artists I like a lot. Lesley turned me on to one...I think they are wonderful!
Guseppe Arcimboldo

and

Alberto Vargas

Off to the band's show. It might be nice just to curl up in bed and go to sleep....cuz it's sooooo cold out. I don't think our car likes the cold either. It wouldn't start at all today. Or maybe the car's just religious....sunday IS the day of rest. I suppose I'll try it again tomorrow. It would be nice to be able to drive it though. Seeing as I have some wonderful SPICES waiting for me at UPS. *sigh*

Ahhh yes...and I am officially a Nagle. I finally have a new drivers license that says Nagle on it instead of Harlow. I think I'll keep Harlow around when signing anything artistic that I do. Not sure yet...but that's the plan so far.

Nagle out.

are they really brothers?

Ahhh..Update

SEARS - no electric work..DOH!
MIKE - friend that apparently went to school to be a mechanic
CAR - at Mike's house....being fixed. Potentially for a very very very very low price. And A promise of free Bish shows.
CURRENT SITUATION: Hasn't bugged out electrically for a day and a half-so says Mike. Should be getting it back tomorrow.
FEEDBACK: Holy cow!! That worked out amazingly. Our car with no electrical problems?? I gotta see THIS.

Right now I'm listening to the Allman Brothers Band..and it's making me feel good. Rockin back and forth a little. Midnight Rider is the current track. Ever heard of Rhapsody? It's a great program we have...it basically streams any song/album you can think of. Just type in the band/song/genre and up pops albums/songs/bands galore. It's pretty awesome. Millions of songs at your fingertips.

Ooohhh..another thing that makes me happy is the show Arrested Development. I don't watch alot of TV..but Tim and I decided to rent season one on Netflix (also a good site). We've heard a lot of good things about that show. So we jumped on the wagon. And it's darn darn funny. I would say that to understand the show at all, you have to start at the beginning...show number one. Do that..and maybe you'll become a fan. I'm waiting for season two. :)

Now time for some DINNER. My belly is aching. AND tomorrow is my day off!! Even though I am going in from 8am-11am to answer phones. Just because I'm nice. Then a new drivers license with my new last name. I know, I know...I've waited long enough. It's just a pain in the butt sometimes to take the train to the Daily Center/DMV (where ever that is) then wait in line FOREVER...But I am gonna suck it up and do it. It's about freakin time.

p.s. Jessica - by the Allman Bro's Band is even better than Midnight Rider. They are rocking out on the piano..oh how I miss it.

a stroll on lower wacker

bunk

All right forget it. I was gonna write something potentially sweet....but I'll just save that for later. Right now I am looking out my window and I see my busted ass vehile, glaring back at me. And it WON'T move. Illigally parked...even the hazards gave up...no battery power, even though I did just get a new one about a month ago. No..no..thats okay. Electrical/computer chip/starter/whoknowswhatswrongwith it PROBLEM. Now a tow-truck may be in order. Good thing I've been working over time to pay off my bills...or wait..maybe just so I could pay to get my car fixed...AGAIN. And every time I get it fixed...it doesn't really GET fixed. Together, Dad, I think we might have made this Olds Acheiva get the false notion that it was a Luxury vehicle. Sounds like Paris Hilton.
Moving on to the best part, though.....and about a half an hour later. Now I am waiting for a tow truck...but don't worry. It's only $60 bucks in cash. Cuz we all know I have THAT lying around. And then off to Sears Auto where it costs $88 for their cheapest battery. I'll keep you posted on how much a computer chip is...I can't wait!
So...tow truck came and went. And I feel a little better. At least I know I won't get a parking ticket. One other nice thing....The man that towed the car was very kind...took him about 1 minute to get everything rigged up. They must have sent me their best. With my teeth chattering, I gave him the CA$H. He smiled and said "Go on inside and get warm...and have yourself a happy holiday." I smiled, looked back proudly at my achievement filled Achieva and sighed, "I'll try.."
